Last May 18, 2018, the Tomasinong Bikolano reached out to Malilipot, Albay’s San Jose Elementary School, which were recipients of donations for those affected by the calamities from earlier this year. Primarily given were lavatory facilities and hygienic products, along with food and clothing aid. Dr. Rollo Milante, regional coordinator of Tomasinong Bikolano, relayed that the facilities ensured environment-friendliness, as these used rainwater for flushes.
The alumni likewise unveiled newly constructed benches that are uniquely Thomasian along Legazpi Boulevard. Blessed by Fr. Roman “Don” Santos, O.P., the benches are a way to promote the existence of the chapter, especially now that UST is also found in Bicol, through UST – Legazpi.
A courtesy call was also made on UST-Legazpi Rector Fr. Ernesto M. Arceo, O.P., PhD, who expressed support for the Bicol chapter of UST graduates.
