Asst. Prof. Josephine Joy B. Reyes has been designated as Vice Director of Venues Operations and Head of the Spectators Services of the 2019 Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC). Reyes is also one of the Invited Speakers during the official scientific conference on Sports Science jointly organized by the Philippine Sports Commission, the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee Medical Commission, the Asian Council of Exercise and Sports Science, the College of Human Kinetics of the University of the Philippines and the Asian Federation of Sports Science.
The scientific conference, with the theme “Stronger and Healthier ASEAN through Sports Science” will be held from November 22 to 24, 2019 at the Quest Plus Conference Center and Resort at Clark City in Pampanga. Reyes will talk about Tests and Measurements in Elite Athletes in a parallel session with Prof. Dr. Hans de Ridder of South Africa and Prof. Dr. Erika Zemkova of Slovakia.
The 2019 Southeast Asian Games (SEAG), officially known as the 30th Southeast Asian Games will be the 30th edition of the Southeast Asian Games, a biennial regional multi-sport event which will be hosted by the Philippines from November 30 to December 11, 2019. There will be 56 sports, 530 events across 44 competition venues with an estimated 8,750 athletes and team officials; 2,050 technical officials, 1,500 press and media attendees; 12,000 volunteers; targeting more than 500 million viewers; synergizing, converging, cooperating for one sporting experience of a lifetime. The Games will be held at three clusters namely: Subic, Clark and Metro Manila.
