Covey’s lecture on the ‘Speed of Trust’ held on June 19, 2018 at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City organized by the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) coming from the celebrated Covey family whose father, Stephen, introduced to the world the best-selling book ‘The Seven Basic Habits of Highly Effective People,’ Stephen M.R. Covey, known as a leadership guru discussed ‘Leading with Trust.’
The famous author of the bestseller book “The Speed of Trust,” Stephen M.R. Covey shared with his audience the importance of trust, how to develop trust, the five waves of trust, smart trust, the economics of trust, among others. Alongside with international figures such as Warren Buffet, Nobel Peace Prize awardee
Muhammad Yunus, he mentioned Filipino leaders who have gained the trust of others in the international scene such as former Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amando M. Tetangco, Jr. and PEZA head Lilia de Lima.
Also cited was the Honesty Coffee Shop of Batanes for being a real medium for trust at work. The one-day engagement was attended by leaders from industry, business, education, government and other sectors. Fontanilla, an accredited Public Relations practitioner, was interviewed by ANC on her
thoughts about the lecture. This was later shown on television as a post-event press release. “ANC Presents: Leading with Trust, A Session with Stephen M.R.
