SALANDANAN, Jose Arsenio J.

Jose Arsenio J. Salandanan is a professor in Advertising, Public Relations and Integrated Marketing Communication at the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Santo Tomas.

Assistant Professor Salandanan obtained his MS Advertising and is completing his PhD in Development Studies at the UST Graduate School. Currently, he is the Chairperson of the Department of Communication and Media Studies and the adviser of the Communication Arts Students’ Association of the Faculty of Arts and Letters.

In his twenty eight years in the academe, A/P Salandanan has served UST in various capacities. He is a founding member of the Thomasian Media Circle and founding organizer of USTv awards.

He was also a part of a well-esteemed board of jurors for The Philippine Quill Awards sponsored by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippine Chapter, Media Agency of the Year, KBP Golden Dove Awards and USTv awards in the last decade.
Ìý
Currently, he is a member of the board of trustees of the Philippine Advocates of Communication Education, Inc., formerly known as the Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE). He is also a member of the Philippine Association for Communication and Media Research, Inc., Philippines Communication Society (PCS), Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC) and the International Communication Association (ICA).
