Dr. Estrellita Ancheta Judan-Ruiz is an Associate Professor 5 in the Department of Medicine and the Department of Pharmacology at UST Faculty of Medicine & Surgery (FMS). She earned her Masteral Degree in Hospital Administration from the UST Graduate School (Summa Cum Laude), Doctor of Medicine from the UST, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and Bachelor of Science Accelerated from the UST, College of Science (Cum Laude). Dr. Judan-Ruiz has completed her clinical training at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital with a Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Residency Training in Internal Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident. She serves as a Member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at UST Hospital and Heads the Subcommittee on Hospital Formulary. She held various key administrative positions in the academe, such as, Assistant Dean at UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Member of the FMS Faculty Council, Member of the Curriculum Committee and Chief of the Section of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine, FMS. In her professional practice, she likewise served key administrative positions as Chief of Clinics at De Los Santos Medical Center, Chief of the Section of Gastroenterology at UST Hospital and in the Philippine Society of Gastroenterology as Secretary, Chair of the Specialty Board of Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy and Member of the Accreditation Committee. Her scholarly pursuits and research interests encompass Clinical Nutrition, Hospital Administration, Gastroenterology, and Medical Education. She is a Life Member of the Philippine College of Physicians and a Life Fellow of the Philippine Society of Gastroenterology and Philippine Society of Digestive Endoscopy.听 Currently, she is affiliated as an Active Medical Staff at both the University of Santo Tomas Hospital and De Los Santos Medical Center.
