A.1. Comprehensive Guide to Physical Examination is the first local publication on physical diagnosis in the Philippines that directs medical students toward proficiency in the proper, systematic, and analytic patient examination. It serves as one of the major book references on physical diagnosis (Medicine 1) of UST Faculty of Medicine second-year medical students and other medical schools. A.2. Daysog’s Atlas of Urinary Sediments results from 40 years of study and scientific investigation among urinalysis of Filipino patients belonging to well-distinguished nephrologist Dr Alberto Daysog. He documented the urinalysis findings of his patients by taking pictures and organizing these into a photo album, which he used in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows of nephrology. In 2000, in the early years of Dr. Marcial’s clinical practice, he collaborated with Drs. Daysog and Moral to formalize the much-valued urinary sediments photo album into a book (an atlas) to serve as a valuable guide to all clinical medical practitioners. Daysog’s Atlas of Urinary Sediments is the only local publication on urinary sediments in the Philippines.
