Assistant Professor Eric John Arca Marayag, MD, FPCP, FPCC, holds the distinguished position of Assistant Professor 1 in the Department of Medicine and the Department of Pharmacology at UST Faculty of Medicine & Surgery. His administrative roles include being a Core Member of the Philippine Heart Association Council for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Head of the Residency Training Committee for Research in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital, and an Independent Consultant Reviewer for the Research Ethics Committee at the same hospital. Dr. Marayag’s scholarly and research interests encompass Adult Cardiology, Cardiac Catheterization, Intervention, Hemodynamics, and Medical Education and Research. He pursued a Clinical Research Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center from 2020 to 2022 and completed his Fellowship in Adult Cardiology as Chief Fellow at UST Hospital from 2017 to 2020. Dr. Marayag earned accolades, such as the Most Outstanding Resident in Internal Medicine (MORIM) from the Philippine College of Physicians in 2017 and was a Finalist for the Most Outstanding Fellow in Training by the Philippine College of Cardiology in 2020. As a Fellow of the Philippine College of Chest Physicians and the Philippine College of Cardiology, along with being a Member of the Philippine Society for Cardiovascular Catheterization and Intervention, Dr. Marayag serves as an Active Consultant at the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center – Heart Institute and a Visiting Consultant at UST Hospital.听
