Assistant Professor Maria Faye Anne Sero Gomez, MD, FPCP, FPSN, holds the esteemed position of Assistant Professor 1 in the Department of Medicine at UST Faculty of Medicine & Surgery. Her administrative roles include serving as Supervisor of Medicine 3 and contributing to the Committee on Simulation at UST-FMS. Dr. Gomez also plays a crucial role as the Training Officer for the Fellowship Training in Nephrology at Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center. Actively engaged in the Philippine Society of Nephrology, she is a member of various committees, including Peritoneal Dialysis and Public Health and Preventive Nephrology.
Dr. Gomez’s academic prowess extends to her scholarly and research interests, focusing on Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Peritoneal & Hemodialysis. Her educational journey includes a Fellowship in Nephrology at UST Hospital, where she was Asst. Chief Resident during her Residency in Internal Medicine. Dr. Gomez is a dedicated educator, contributing to training committees and core residency programs at Capitol Medical Center and UST Hospital.
As a Fellow of the Philippine College of Physicians and the Philippine Society of Nephrology, Dr. Gomez is an active consultant at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital, Capitol Medical Center, Mary Chiles Hospital, and Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center. Her professional affiliations with the Philippine Medical Association, International Society of Nephrology highlight her commitment to continuous learning and global medical networks.
