Belinda V. De Castro is currently the Director of the Research Center for Social Sciences and Education (RCSSEd). ÌýIn her capacity as a researcher, she had been given several awards:Ìý2014 National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) Achievement Awardee,ÌýDangal ng UST Best Published Work Awardee in 2011ÌýandÌý2015Ìý(Social Science and Education Category),ÌýSilver Series awardeeÌýin 2002, 2004, 2008 and 2010;ÌýGold Series awardeeÌýin 2012 andÌýInternational PublicationÌýawardee in 2004, 2008, 2010 and 2012. To date, she had a total of twenty-one (21) international and three (3) local publications in the fields of shadow education, mathematics education, and educational management. She is the managing editor of theÌýAsian Journal of Educational Research and Synergy (AJERS)Ìýsince 2009 and one of the editorial board members of theÌýAsian Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Research (AJTHR)Ìýsince 2007. She holds a Doctoral degree in Educational Management (2011ÌýMagna Cum Laude),ÌýMasters of Science degree major in Mathematics EducationÌý(2000ÌýSumma Cum Laude), and a Bachelor of Science degree major in Actuarial MathematicsÌý(1984) from the Royal and Pontifical University of Santo Tomas.

She is a professor at theÌýUST College of Commerce and Business AdministrationÌýhandlingÌýResearch Methodology for Human Resource ManagementÌýand mathematics courses such asÌýStatistics, Algebra, Mathematical Analysis in Business, QuantitativeÌýTechniques,ÌýandÌýMathematics of Investment. She had also been a faculty researcher and statistics consultant ofÌýUST’s Center for Educational Research and Development (CERD) since 2001. She had been invited as a resource person on topics such asÌýConjoint Analysis, Structural Equation Modelling,ÌýStatistics for Research with SPSS, andÌýAnalyzing Quantitative Data. As a faculty of the university, she had been assigned to various tasks as a math coordinator, AdHoc committee member, scholarship committee chair, SWDB member, faculty club officer, and USTGS Ethics Review Committee member. She is currently an invited reviewer of four international journals, Asia-Pacific Education Review,ÌýEducation Research Journal, Current Issues in Education,ÌýandÌýMathematical Thinking and Learning. She is also affiliated with various organizations such as the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP), Comparative Education Society of the Philippines (CESP, Board Member), Philippine Society for Educational Research and Evaluation (PSERE), Philippine Council of Mathematics Teachers (MATHTED)Ìýand theÌýMathematics Society of the Philippines (MSP).
