ABLAZA, Paul John L.

Assistant Professor Paul John Lopez Ablaza, MD, FPCP, FPCC, FPSE, holds the position of Assistant Professor 1 in the Department of Medicine at UST Faculty of Medicine & Surgery. He actively contributes to various administrative roles, serving as the Research Ethics Committee Chairman at Tondo Medical Center, a member of the Residency Training Committee at USTH Department of Internal Medicine, and a Core Faculty member of the Council in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Philippine Heart Association as well as a member of the Council on Cardiovascular Oncology. Dr. Ablaza is deeply involved in training programs, acting as the Coordinator for Echocardiography Training in the Adult Cardiology Fellowship Training Program at Medical Center Manila and the Assistant Cardiology Fellowship Training Officer in Echocardiography at the UST Section of Cardiology. His scholarly interests encompass Internal Medicine, Cardiology focusing on Cardiovascular Oncology, and Echocardiography. A cum laude graduate in Medicine and Medical Technology from the University of Santo Tomas, Dr. Ablaza is a Diplomate and Fellow of the Philippine College of Physicians and the Philippine College of Cardiology, as well as a Member and Fellow of the Philippine Society of Echocardiography. He serves as an active consultant in esteemed institutions such as Medical Center Manila, University of Santo Tomas Hospital, Fe del Mundo Medical Center in Quezon City, Tondo Medical Center, and The Medical City Satellite Clinics, Perpetual Succor Maternity Clinic, and Hospital. Dr. Ablaza’s commitment to medical education, research, and cardiology practice is evident through his multifaceted contributions in various healthcare and academic settings.
