Vision

The Graduate School of Law’s vision is to produce graduates who are not only respected in the field of law, academically and professionally, but also possess the core values of a true Thomasian lawyer: competence, compassion, and commitment.

Mission

The UST Graduate School of Law’s mission is to provide exceptional support services to graduate students and faculty; to promote quality in graduate education by challenging and guiding students to conduct investigations/research that will aid in the enactment of just and reasonable laws that genuinely serve the people; and to establish university-wide graduate policies, standards, and procedures that define best practices for the graduate programs it serves.

Objectives

Founded on the Thomasians’ Core values, the Graduate School of Law aims to (1) develop intellectual expertise in law and jurisprudence among lawyers; (2) contribute to public service improvement by emphasizing the lawyers’ mission of upholding justice and truth; (3) elevate the legal profession’s standards; and (4) improve the administration of justice for the welfare of the Filipino people.

Official Journal

The UST Law Journal, the official publication of the UST Graduate School of Law, is a peer-reviewed academic publication that aims to publish scholarly articles in its pursuit of legal scholarship and academic excellence.

It features articles on all aspects of law, philosophy, and jurisprudence; dynamic, critical, and contextual approaches of featured dissertations, theses, Case Law Analysis, and Book Reviews, in which members of the UST Graduate School of Law Faculty and esteemed contributors critically analyze recent judicial decisions, new legislation, proposals for current law and judicial reforms, and legal development trajectories as the world embraces the complexities of legal contours amidst technological revolution and contemporary era.ÌýÌý

Application for Second Term

The UST Graduate School of Law is already accepting applications for the January 2025 intake of the Master of Laws (LL.M.) and Doctor of Civil Law (DCL) programs. The Second Term of AY 2024-2025 enrollment will start on January 10, 2025.

Classes are online, while high-stakes assessments are on-site. Both the application and enrollment processes are conducted online.
