Description

Interior Design is the act of planning, designing, specifying, and giving general administration and responsible direction to the functional, orderly and aesthetic arrangements and development of materials of buildings and residences. Bachelor of Science in Interior Design is designed to develop foundational skills to prepare the student for the job. The program focuses on studio and academic research in history, theory and methods as they relate to interdisciplinary approach to interior design.

  1. Demonstrate competencies that apply appropriate theories and concepts to interior design problems as Thomasian Interior DesignersÌý
  2. Demonstrate knowledge and competencies to effectively practice interior design ethically and professionally.Ìý
  3. Effectively communicateÌý through creative and practical visual, oral and written formats.Ìý
  4. Participate on collaborative work taking on either role of team leader or member in a multidisciplinary task force.Ìý
  5. Actively advocate respect for culture and the environment as expected of a Thomasian
  6. Creatively pursue innovations through researches relevant to interior design that reflect Thomasian values
  7. Apply and abide by the laws, codes and standards of the profession.Ìý
  8. Pursue further studies to provide innovative and creative solutions to interior design problems and its relevant issues.
  9. ExhibitÌý extensive knowledge on history of arts and interior design to develop a critical eye on design application

The Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy program provides not just theoretical input, but also practical applications of learned concepts and skills to best prepare students for the world of work. To do so, the program uses facilities such as laboratories for their learning experiences.

²ÝÁñÊÓƵ of Santo Tomas provides student services that cater to academic, spiritual, and wellness concerns of students. These support units are found in the different parts of the campus and can be accessed by Thomasians. When the University shifted to distance learning, the services also transitioned to online services to continue addressing the needs of Thomasians.
