The 1st International PSALM Conference for Teacher Education and Formation is a confluence of our celebration of the 14th Fr. Antonio Gonzales, OP Memorial Lecture, the 6th Dr. Lourdes J. Custodio Memorial Lecture, the 2nd Nenita Caralipio Honorary Lecture, and is one of the highlights of the 95th Founding Anniversary of the College of Education. The acronym PSALM stands for Passion for Scholarship And Love for Mission. It mirrors the aim of the College to significantly contribute to the development of competencies on supervision, coaching, and mentoring among pre-service teachers and in-service teachers. This also paves the way for the development of functional competencies and personal identity among teachers.
Experts from our partner institutions from Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Poland, and the Philippines will serve as guest lecturers. Academic/administrative officials, faculty, and students from our university as well as our partner institutions and networks from local and international communities are invited to attend. This conference likewise aims to strengthen the faculty and students’ professional development program, the internationalization at home, networking and linkages, and public presence initiatives of the College.
